We are on the lookout for a CNC Machine operator for our market-leading client based in Geelong. With state of the art facilities and an innovative approach to manufacturing, you will become part of a global business that provides high tech systems to various industries including aerospace and defence.

About the Role:

CNC Machinist – Current openings on Day and Afternoon shift

Must be trade qualified and experienced on large scale CNC OKUMA Machines (generally a fitter and turner)

• Have experience in large milling machines over 3m length (OKUMA Brand)
• Must have jobbing shop experience.
• Be able to manually write basic CNC programs and understand G code.
• Be able to work independently.
• Be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Have an understanding of modern machining methods and tooling.
• Be able to select and use appropriate measuring tools to inspect components.
• Be computer literate, Windows, excel, word etc.
• CAM machining experience is preferred but not essential.
• Current Worksafe High Risk licence for forklift, dogging, rigging, crane operation preferred but not essential.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Be adaptable and willing to improve and change.
• Be willing to work and have a strong desire to be productive.
• A strong desire to learn.
• Have an eye for detail.
• Be able to follow verbal and written instruction and work with set procedures/guidelines.
