The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Coordinator - Construction to join our Federal Government client based in Geelong.

This is a role until March 2022 and is an APS6 equivalent paying $51.50 per hour plus super.

Please note, as this role is within Federal Government, applicants must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents

The Role:

The Project Coordinator will join the Corporate Services and Program Support Team. This is a team membership position and will be responsible for team leadership and management, requiring setting of priorities and managing workflows of a team.

The position has reasonable autonomy to exercise both initiative and judgement to interpret legislation and policy in the applications of practices and procedures to achieve outcomes within the project management function.

Typical duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Developing a detailed work plan, defining and coordinating both the ongoing work program and a change and transformation agenda across procurement, corporate services and records management
  • Managing projects to provide improvements and reviews on the effectiveness of service delivery
  • Producing documentation including status updates, reports, budgets and discussion papers
  • Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures and guideline documents
About You:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
  • Proven experience as a Project Coordinator and experience leading project teams, including an ability to mentor and guide staff in a collaborative and transparent manner
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to communicate and negotiate with clients or stakeholders under limited direction
  • Analytical skills to draw on research, evidence and reports to influence improved service delivery
  • Formal Program/Project Management Qualifications
