Programmed Skilled Workforce is currently seeking a casual Heavy Manufacturing Operator to commence work for our client, a national wire manufacturer, based in Corio, VIC.

About the role:

The Production Operator role is responsible for wire manufacturing operations within the mill. This will include operation of a forklift and crane (if experienced). This is a casual position offering hours Monday - Friday on afternoon or night shift rosters.

  • Afternoon Shift - 4:00pm - 12:00am
  • Night Shift - 12:00am - 6:00am

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform manufacturing operations of wire products and use of a forklift.
  • Conduct work in a safe and timely manner
  • Complete manual handling tasks with weights of up to 20kgs.
  • Use of an overhead crane for experienced candidates.

About you:

We are looking for an individual who is passionate and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic. This person will have a can-do attitude and strong initiative and will enjoy working both as part of a team and autonomously.

  • Hold a valid forklift licence with proven experience
  • Operator or warehousing experience is desirable
  • Industrial manufacturing experience is desirable
  • Experience operating an overhead crane is highly desirable.
